Pork Pot Roast Slow Cooker Recipe – Let’s start off 2016 with a succulent pork roast dinner!
Packed with garlicky flavor, this slow cooked pork pot roast is simmered in white wine until it is “fall apart” tender. This rolled pork roast is surrounded with crispy bits of Pancetta, carrots, celery and as much garlic as you can stand. This is the perfect recipe for Sundays dinner with the family.
Consider setting the pork roast (sliced or not) on a pretty platter, strain the pan juices, adjust the seasonings and thicken with cornstarch. Voilà!
Serve for over rice or with steamed potatoes. Here is great grandmother’s one and only rice recipe – it was (and still is) perfect with braised meats. Add a green salad in a vinaigrette dressing and the meal is complete.

The meat is fall apart tender so do not expect to be able to cut neat slices. Simply pull the meat apart with a fork into large pieces – just like pulled pork.
Some of the foodies who sit around my kitchen table might be tempted to pour BBQ sauce on any type of pulled pork but… they usually get the evil eye from the la cuisinière.
This recipe is definitely more like pot roast not pulled pork. After all, someone did say that variety is the spice of life. So, Mom will make pulled pork some other day.
