The frozen chocolate mousse pie is another one of our favorite “ten minute pies“. It is lighter in calories than regular, egg rich chocolate mousse – served in a pie or in a ramekin. It does not have the intense chocolate flavor of true chocolate mousse but on a warm day or as a special and easy dessert treat, this frosty version of a quick pie hits the spot.
As a special treat for the family chocoholics, I prepare this easy chocolate mousse pie in an oreo crumb crust.

Baker’s® Frozen Ten minute Pies
Note: While I was mixing the chocolate mixture into the cream cheese and folding in the whipped topping, I noticed something was just “not right”.
Now I know that it was the luscious color of chocolate mousse and the beautiful orange color of the Ambrosia Pie.
Moral of the story is not to rush when preparing a recipe you think you know by heart. I used an 8 oz. pack of cream cheese instead of the 3 oz. pack in both pies!
I will quickly add that two taste testers nonetheless gave the frozen chocolate mousse pie a stamp of approval.
