That looks and sounds delicious! Great find!
Teriyaki Pork Dinner is on the menu tonight. It does not often get more frugal than this meal with an easy pork dinner recipe and a slow cooker.
While shopping my neighborhood Safeway© supermarket this week, I came across a super deal in the meat case – the case where they stash their value packs.
It was a rather small sign considering the deal. Smithfield, Natural boneless loin pork chops – buy one get one of equal or lesser value.

I rarely buy value packs unless I know there will be more than 6 or 8 around the table for the meal but who could pass up a BOGO value pack offer for thick boneless chops?
For $16.00, I have 16 portions making this a frugal teriyaki pork dinner! These are nearly perfect portion sized boneless chops between ¾ to over 1 inch thick.
Needless to say, I will check Safeway© more often for similar deals but after dinner, I will be able to prepare a freezer full of ready made meals to share or eat in the next few weeks.
This particular recipe was developed so that Mom could partake without any worries. She is on a gluten free diet and it was quite a surprise to find both reduced sodium and gluten free soy sauce and teriyaki sauce at the supermarket.
Serve the frugal Teriyaji Pork Dinner on Basmati rice!
